Building the Brand: Cornerstone Technology Solutions Corporate Identity Package

Back in January 2024, we had the pleasure of delivering a complete logo and brand identity package for Cornerstone Technology Solutions—a company dedicated to providing secure, robust IT services with a strong emphasis on cyber security.


From the outset, it was clear this brand needed to strike a delicate balance: strength and security, modernity and innovation, all while reflecting the deeply personal and professional values of the founders. Here’s how we brought that vision to life.

1. A Foundation of Meaning


The conceptual foundation of the Cornerstone brand stems from exactly that—a cornerstone. In construction, it’s the essential starting point, the base on which everything else relies. We paired this symbolism with the sleek, forward-facing world of technology. The result? A visual identity that tells the story of a company built to support, protect, and power technology—especially in the ever-evolving world of cyber security.


2. The Power of Colour: Burgundy & Warm Grey


Colour is one of the most immediate ways a brand communicates its personality. For Cornerstone, we selected a bold Burgundy, representing resilience, reliability, and strength, grounded by a Warm Grey that brings a sophisticated, modern edge. Together, they convey a blend of trustworthiness and tech-savviness—key qualities for any business in the cyber security space.


3. Typography That Talks Tech


The custom Sans Serif typeface used in the logo brings clarity and simplicity, hallmarks of good design in the tech industry. It’s clean, minimal, and readable—ideal for a company that’s not only keeping pace with innovation but leading the charge.


4. A Logo with Purpose: The ‘C’ and ‘T’ Composition


At the heart of the logo is a clever interplay between the letters C and T. The ‘C’ forms the cornerstone, both visually and symbolically enclosing and protecting the T—representing technology. This reinforces the company’s core message: Cornerstone is the foundation and the shield behind secure, reliable tech solutions.


5. Honouring the Past, Powering the Future


Three subtle chevrons are embedded within the design—an intentional nod to the founders' service in the Australian armed forces. These shapes aren’t just decorative; they speak to discipline, progress, and upward momentum. They also serve as a visual metaphor for the company’s forward-focused approach to technology and security.


6. Versatile by Design


A modern brand needs to move seamlessly across screens, platforms, and print. The Cornerstone logo was designed with scalability and adaptability in mind. Its bold shapes and clean lines mean it performs just as well on a business card as it does on a website or branded merchandise.

Every design choice—from the colours and typography to the symbolic structure—was made with Cornerstone’s audience in mind.
